been thinking this way for a while now - actively partitioning the way i parse novelties under the lenses of :
- definitely math..
- possibly math..
- wtf..
there's a whole bunch more of math that i want to pick up on and it helps me scratch my head in a good way - feels good in an in-expressible manner
there's a whole bunch of things out there that i raise my hands around and shrug it off into the category of non-math - i let my instincts, experiences and accumulated wisdom (gained first-hand, vicariously and meditated upon) take over and actively delegate control to a non-analytical facet of my mind
i live with a fear that it may not be possible to cast the net of mathematical order on all of the worldly abstractions that i'll need to grasp over the course of my life - philosophizing romantically over those on long meditative walks is my hedge against that feeling of doom.
however, there is a certain crude joy that i experience when i realize that something previously gooey could be neatly modelled as an elegant abstraction
i do also value the non-mathematical eurekas - they lead to a certain kind of churn in my head - addictive and enjoyable in a different way, than the more controlled and chase-able strain that doing math gives
